What is MicroDermabrasion?

It is a non-surgical skin refinish procedure, by using sterile diamond heads to abrade or rub off the top skin layer, then vacuuming out the particles along with any dirt and dead skin. It is a skin-revitalizing treatment that helps repair skin that is damaged from the sun, scars, acne and the unwanted  effects of aging.  Diamond Dermabrasion uses Diamond tone wands to remove the dead, outer layer of skin by gently exfoliating the skin with natural diamond chips, while vacuuming the dead skin cells away in a clean and controlled manner. The benefit of microdermabrasion also includes better skin elasticity and enhancing blood flow in the skin.

IS THERE DOWN TIME?

Not with the Diamond Dermabrasion.  There is no down time required for recovery with microdermabrasion and there is little or no discomfort involved in the procedure. You can schedule this treatment on your lunch hour and go back to work. We do recommend you avoid direct sun exposure and the use of tanning beds for 48 hrs after your treatment. Sunscreen is essential to use afterwards for protection. You temporarily lose some of the natural protection to the environment.
